My name is Ms. Olson and I am a teacher at ISD. The following classes will use this blog:
7th grade Math
8th Grade Language Arts & Social Studies
This blog will be used to:
- Generate questions and answers
- Be familiar with a blog and its possible uses
- Expand on what we are learning in class
- A place to find sources, photos, & videos

i think you should post dailey blog questions and you should post homework.

we can use this blog to post home work so we can check up from home. We can use the blog to post information about projects also. The blog could also serve to tell us what our next test will be on and how to study for it.
For fun we might also like have little scholastic games with prizes. For example you could post a quiz where we have to find the right sites for the information and the winner gets a lollipop maybe.Or something like that.The blog is a cool idea.

Firstly, I'd like to say that this is a great idea! I don't know if I would like to use this IN class, but out of class activities and comments will be cool! What I mean by that is I don't know if this blog should be the center of all classroom activity in school, but I think it would be awesome to be able to post comments as homework and so on.
This blog, to answer the second quetion, can do a lot of things. First, it can obviously integrate technology into our lives, in an educational way. Also, it is exciting to use, because I feel more like a college student, using a blog.
Something that I would suggest is not to just use this blog to put posts and for homework, but to also include other things. For example, we could have a weekly debate, or voting area. You could "moodle" it up here, by putting our homework on here in the mean time that focus isn't working. If we're studying something, this blog could have links, such as videos, articles, and photos, so that if we are interested, we can look at them for fun! You could put a post up saying, for instance, free space, where we could put links and things that we think are interesting, related or unrelated to school. This blog should be a site that we can visit instead of playing online games or going to facebook.com every 5 minutes. It should be a positive alternative to turn to.
All in all, this is going to be quite fun!
I think that we not only should have homeworkstuff on the page. It will be more fun if we posted other things too.

also that students could add pictures or movies of themselves or like ms olson films something funny and puts it on her blog , just like Msr Todd

what i think the classroom blog should have is like the homework and activities that we will do. also i think that we should have weekly question about what we thought about the weekly work we have done and we can also have riddles to answer like funny and exciting ones.

Ms. Olson, I would check out Mr. Spedding's blog for ideas. It has biographies of students, tons of pictures (which is cool), and so on. The site is becauseoftime.org
i think that this is a brilliant idea; you could post homework but you could also put up questions for people to answer and share their opinions.
this blog is also useful for advice on how to study successfully etc...

i think that you should write down the homework on your blog because we forget a lot (especially me).
I also think that you should make a page for questions so we could write any questions we want.

I think you should add homework, projects and tests that we will have because it will be a useful tool for us to remember things. I think you should put when homework and such are due beause sometimes people forget to write every assignment down in their agenda.
To post helpful sources, such as websites for LA and SS would be a good idea as well I think.

first of all i think this blog was a GREAT idea. I think we can use it for homework, making comments, asking questions...
